Tournaments Processed for 2009 period 1

The following open standard-rated tournaments have been processed: Queenstown Classic (incorporating the NZ Championship and NZ Major Open). Club tournaments rated are: North Shore Championships (A, B, C), Waitekere Championships (A, B), Howick-Pakuranga Booth Shield, Wellington Championships (A, B, C) and Julian Mazur Memorial, Upper Hutt Championships (A, B, C)(2008-3), Kapiti Championships (A, B, C) and Canterbury Championships (A, B, C). 

The following open rapid-rated tournaments have been processed:
NZ Championship, Queenstown Junior, MIT Open (A, B, C, Junior), Waitangi (A, B, C, Junior), Bay of Plenty 25+5 (A, B) and Wellington Championship. Club tournaments rated are: North Shore Championship (4th leg), Kiwi Junior (A, B, C, D), Otago Championships (A2, B2) and Summer.

Rated Tournaments 2008

The following is a list of all standard-rated tournaments processed in the three periods of 2008.

In period 1, the open
tournaments are: NZ Championship and NZ Major Open. The club tournaments are: North Shore Championships (A, B, C), Waitakere Championships (A, B), Howick-Pakuranga Booth Shield, Kapiti Championship, Wellington Championships (A, B, C) and Julian Mazur Memorial, Upper Hutt Championships (A, B, C) (2007-3) and Canterbury Championships (A, B, C).

In period 2, the open
tournaments are: NZ Women, NZ Senior, Waitakere Trust Open (A, B, C, Junior), Wellington Easter Open and Otago Queen’s Birthday. The club tournaments are: Auckland Summer (A,B,C), Howick-Pakuranga Parkinson Cup, Waitakere Summer (A, B) and Arnold Cup, Wellington Summer and Autumn (A-D), Canterbury Colthart Cup, Otago Swiss and Cleland Trophy.

In period 3, the open
tournaments are: NZ Junior, North Island, Kaikoura Open (aka South Island), Waikato Open (A, B), North Shore Open (A, B, C), Fairhurst Pawn, George Trundle Masters and Qualifiers and Merv Morrison Memorial (A, B). The club tournaments are: Auckland Championships (A, B, C), Waitakere Round Robin (A, B, C), Winter Cup and Championship Preliminary, Howick-Pakuranga Championship, Wanganui Championship, Wellington Championships (A, B, C), Canterbury Chas L Hart Cup and Eric Browne Shield, and Otago Championships (A1, A2, B1, B2).

The following is a list of all rapid-rated tournaments processed in the three periods of 2008.

In period 1, the open
tournaments are: NZ Championship, MIT Open (A, B, C, Junior) and Bay of Plenty 25+5 (A, B). The club tournaments rated are: North Shore Championship (4th leg), Wanganui Championship and Otago Summer.

In period 2, the open
tournaments are:  NZ Women’s Reserve, Puchen rapids from March, May and June (A, B), Latvian (A, B), St. Pauls Collegiate Open (A, B), Westfield Plaza and Gordon Hoskyn Memorial. The club tournaments are: North Shore Championship (1st, 2nd legs), Howick-Pakuranga Allegro, Waitakere Half-hour, Kapiti Championship, Otago Swiss and Championship (A1, B1, C1).

In period 3, the open
tournaments are:  NZ Junior, North Island, Puchen August and September rapids (A, B), Richard Sutton Cup and Kapiti Rapid. The club tournaments are: North Shore Championship (3rd leg), Kapiti 60/60, Wellington Championship and Otago Junior.
